The growing speed of IC design Output Value was keeping better than DIM factory last year. According to the prediction of ICInsights, IC design Output Value was growing to 27.1% of the whole IC market and create a new history record。
ICInsights latest report says, Global IC design Output Value grew 6% last, 4% less than IDM factory, 2% less than the whole IC market.
ICInsights says, Global IC design Compound Average Growth Rate reached to 16% between 1999 and 2012, besides, IDM factory Compound Average Growth Rate was only 3%, and the whole IC market was 5%.
IC design proportion in the whole IC market keeps growing, ICInsights says, IC design proportion only takes over 7% of the whole IC market in 1999, and reached to 27.1% in 2012 which create a new record. As predict, the proportion will be up to 1/3 in 2017.
